Pick up impression
Have patient practice biting until feel masseter flexing. Have them feel difference of hitting versus clenching. Once can do that have them bite together while feeling masseter so not to clench.
Use Lynol by Caulk
Any increase in more than 2mm VDO will not be accepted
When patient presents with worn denture and closed vertical must make
new not reline. VDO should not and can bot be completed with a reline.
Better to give them an occlusal splint with reline as intermediary fix than just a reline according to Massad.
Use caliper to measure current VDO and take a bite reg at that VDO
Make intaglio with reline ink to know remove about 1mm even amount everywhere.
