Broken front tooth saved by Dr. Bauer with composite veneer!
Case of the week
Frank fell and broke his tooth off as a young man but forntuantly saved the teeth and his previous dentist was able to bond the two pieces back togehter and it lasted for several decades UNTIL ……….
I received a photo in a text message stating the piece is now gone. Well I had Frank in right away and was initially thinking we would have to do a ceramic crown. I decided I would “patch” it up with a composite veneer. However, when I was done and we sat up to take a look at it we both decide that it looked great and no further treatment would be needed. See for yourselves!

I know this case is older, but did you place any pins or air abrade the enamel? how long has this lasted the patient? any occlusal forces on the tooth?
I didn’t do anything special as I was planning on doing this temporarily until he could come back for crown/veneer. However, when I got done it looked great so I left it. I just saw him so it’s over 4 years now. He does not grind or clench so I have that going for me.
You have some great posts, your blog should really be getting more visitors. Do you post on any other sites? Dental Pearls on facebook or Dentaltown?
All of the above but only Dt is really conducive to cases IMHO and I write most of the content on here geared to patients. Thank you though
