Dr. Danielle Bauer grew up in Homer Glen, IL. She received her undergraduate degree in Genetic Biology from Purdue University (Boiler Up!). She then returned home to complete her dental degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. While in dental school, Dr. Bauer was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an honors fraternity, and graduated number one in her dental school class. Since 1891, the year the dental school opened, it has only had two females ever graduate first in their class. After completing dental school, she then went on to a 3 year residency program where she received her Masters Degree in Oral Sciences as well as her specialty certificate in Orthodontics. She earned her board certification in orthodontics in 2016. Dr. Bauer loves being a Wheaton orthodontist and the study of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
“There is nothing more rewarding than being an orthodontist! I get to watch patients grow up, have a lot of fun learning everything that’s cool- like fidget spinners & snapchat, and just get to see beautiful results! I also understand that when choosing an orthodontist, many parents seek multiple opinions for various reasons. As a mother of 4, I always want what is best for my children & I want to go where we feel most comfortable. There are many wonderful orthodontists, as many of us share similar credentials, and most can beautifully straighten your teeth. We are proud to say that what makes us different is how we make you feel! We take the time to get to know our patients and their families, and we have a genuine interest in others. My team and I have developed very special bonds with our patients and we gain their trust- some have invited us to birthday parties, weddings, graduation parties, holidays, and others have asked for help with struggles at school, sports, or home. I truly have a passion for much more than straightening teeth, and I take that very seriously. I am not just looking to straighten teeth – with our use of 3D imaging, I can build beautiful teeth around vital structures, such as airway, developing jaws, muscles, etc. Without 3D, you cannot see these vital internal structures. While my skills are very important to me, at the end of the day, what makes me happy is to be known as a good PERSON and that you are thrilled with your smile and experience!!”
Dr. Danielle loves working with children and adults of all ages and is looking forward to meeting with you and discussing how we can achieve your esthetic goals.
